Also, 8 professional track teams have been registered for World Cup in this seasin in Cali. This is new record of participation in the history of 14 UCI World Cups in Cali, since 1996.
Austria and Trinidad and Tobago were the last teams registered in the Tissot UCI World Cup, and this number of countries beat the World Cup Cali in season 2010-2011, held in december 16-18 of 2010 in Alcides Nieto Patiño velodrome.
Additionally, 8 professional teams have registered their application to participate in the third stage of World Cup. This fact, 47 delegations, converts Cali like the most important city in the world track cycling; the attitude of Cali´s fan is special and invite to the best riders of the World to Cali track.
Maybe, this is the most important reason to explain why Cali is the city in the world with more stages of UCI World Cup held in the world, with fourteen, and consequently, with the 2014 UCI World Championship, one of the world events more important made in Colombia.
