Colombian riders won, by third time in the last three years, the Track Panamerican Championships, was held this sunday, in Bicentenario Velodrome of Aguascalientes, Mexico, after five days of competition.

Great star of Colombia Team was the sprinter Fabian Puerta, who won three gold medals in the same number of races.

Puerta won the Team Sprint (with Santiago Ramírez and Ruben Murillo), Sprint and Keirin.

Colombia won 7 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals, over Mexico, Canada, Cuba, USA and Chile, other countries with at least one gold medal.

The event had participation of 15 countries of Caribbean, South and Central America.

In the event, the Mexican pistard Jessica Salazar beat the 500 meter TT World Record, with 32 seconds and 268.

This event gave points to the riders and nations to the UCI Track ranking, and, consequently, to participate in UCI Track Cycling World Cup.
