Spain, with obligations in Cali.

Gregory Bauge, french big star

With the european champion title, won the last year in Guadalupe (where Gregory Bauge born), french sprinter Bauge, three times world champion (2010 Denmark, 2011 Netherlands and 2012 Australia), returns by fifth time to Cali with a purpose: win the gold medal and classify to World Championship in France, next february.

"I am motivated and I want two gold medals that I will dispute, Sprint and Team Sprint (with Francois Pervis and Quentin Lafargue). I have a little knee injury, but I think that Cali heat and Cali fan expectation, for me the best in the world, are especial motivation to obtain the goals".

Bauge born in Maisons-Laffitte, Yvelines, January 31, 1985. He will have 30 years, and he has a great list of victorys, as 7 world champions since junior cathegories.

Spain, with obligations in Cali

Salvador Melia, Spain national team director , has a claire goal: add points needed to classify any races to World Championship in Paris next february, and this situation is common any countries and it´s difficoult.

"There are any individual and team races with a few points and we need clarify this situation to go to Paris. The most difficoult is Team Sprint men and Team Pursuit men. Unai Elorriaga and Leire olebarria must fin quota in omnium men and women. The group arrives in good level and they must have a good performance to win".

Melia think that the spanish cycling has a worrisome moment: "There isn´t change in the cyclist, we have good riders to replace the good actual generation. The cuestion is that young riders choice the route, because it has better salaries. It´s worry situation".

Spain makes presence with a group of 12 riders led by the sprinters Sergio Aliaga, Hodei Mazkarian, Jose Moreno, Juan Peralta, Tania Calvo and Helena Casas and the long distance riders Unai Elorriaga, Asier Maeztu, Sebastian Mora, Eloy Teruel, Illast Zuazubiska and Leire Olaberria.

With the riders and technical director, Spain come with Sergi Escobar (technical assistant), Miguel Angel Borras (mechanic), Richard Romero (masseur), Juan Antonio Jaume (doctor) and colombian Norbey Andrade (head of delegation)
